Hi Everyone,

It's me, Travis. And have I got a surprise for you.

I don't know what's going on out side but something happened while I was asleep last night.

When MOM let us out this morning, there was all this white stuff on the deck and grass and it was COLD on my feet.

Stylle and Chloe didn't think anything about it but I ran back to MOM to see if SHE knew what it was.

SHE sat down and told me that what happened while I was asleep was that it had snowed and that the cold white stuff on the deck and ground was called snow and that it wouldn't hurt me.

Well, being the cautious type, I tip-toed down the steps to get a good look at this stuff. Guess what ??? When I put my nose on it, this stuff changed into cold water. IT WAS MAGIC!!!
I didn't know there was stuff like this around. I ran back and told MOM what happened and SHE just smiled and said " It's supposed to do that ". WOW!!!

So I ran down the steps and this snow stuff would poof up wherever I stepped like it was white dust. NEAT!!! I ran as hard as I could to see how much snow dust I could stir up and it was great.

I ran over to Stylle and Chloe and told them about it but they said they knew all about this.
Oh well, some just don't appreciate things like snow dust. Well, I think it's NEAT and I plan on playing in it as much as I can when MOM let's us outside.

I wonder what else there is to see???

Hi All

MOM says I've been a bad boy.

She had some real soft tiny balls of yarn just sitting on the table next to where she knits at night. I thought SHE left them there for me to play with.

Well, when SHE found out that I was playing with them SHE got mad and yelled at me and took them out of my mouth ( they felt soooo good on my sore gums ). I found a couple more little yarn balls and was bringing them to HER and SHE wasn't happy ( I was trying to be a good boy ).

Well, what SHE did wasn't nice. SHE found this piece of wood with this metal contraption on it ( actually, there were 2 of them ) and put it on the table with the little yarn balls next to it. I went to pick up another ball of yarn ( to take it to HER ) when ...... all of a sudden, this contraption snapped across my nose and scared me and Chloe to death.

I took off running to tell MOM what had happened when Chloe stopped me. Chloe said that MOM used to do this to her if she got around MOM's stuff and the best thing to do was to leave MOM's stuff alone. But I said that HER stuff is sooooo nice and soft and smells so good that it's hard to leave it alone. This is when Chloe looked at me ( she got down on her belly so she was eyeball-to-eyeball with me ) and said, that if I didn't leave MOM's things alone that MOM would spank me and NOT let me on the sofa next to HER and cuddle or get tummy rubs from HER, so it was my decision what I wanted to do.

How can I not have MOM give me tummy rubs and cuddle with me???? But the yarn is sooooo soft and nice.

After thinking about what Chloe said ( and Stylle said the same thing ), I guess I'll leave the yarn alone and have MOM give my tummy rubs instead. It ain't fair, it just ain't fair.

* sigh *

Hi!

Travis back again to tell you what happened when my silly sister Chloe ( pictured here ) and I went outside to potty this morning.

I was busy " doing my thing ", when all of a sudden, Chloe took off like a shot towards the kennel dogs. I wasn't sure what was going on but she suddenly came flying around the kennel ( the dogs were asleep until this ) and was racing into the corner of the yard.

Then I saw something bright yellow running out in front of Chloe and she was hot on its backside and closing fast. There wasn't a sound coming from Chloe, she was too busy chasing whatever had gotten into the backyard.

I came up to the side of the deck where MOM was standing and this yellow thing just flew by me ( I was scared that it was going to hit me ) and Chloe was almost on top of it.

They flew around the deck and up to the fence where this thing slipped thru just as Chloe was getting ready to bite.

She was upset that she didn't catch it but she had just run 2x the length of the backyard full out and just missed it.

I got scared and climbed up on the deck with MOM who said that Chloe was trying to catch a cat that had been in the yard before and that's why she was upset, that I hadn't done anything to make her mad.

MOM got us all ( Chloe, Stylle and me ) back in the house and gave us all cookies and told Chloe what a good girl she was. I guess that when I get older, Chloe will teach me how to chase cats out of the yard. They must be bad things to have around if Chloe wants them out.

After we had breakfast, Chloe and I went into the front room and talked about what had happened and I asked her a lot of questions until MOM told us it was time to play QUIETLY - I guess SHE didn't like it that we were talking so loud.

Oh, well, that's all that's going on for now.

Hi!!!

My name is Duegar's 4 Evr N Evr Amen, but to my friends I'm known as Travis.

I'm a redtick English coonhound and I'm 3 months old.

I live on 6 1/3 acres ( whatever that is ) in southeastern Indiana with my human MOM, and my big sisters Chloe ( she's a red and white English coonhound ) and Stylle ( she's a pale yellow Labrador retriever ) and, of course the kennel dogs ( Rosie - Duegar's A Rose Among Thorns, Catcher - Duegar's Catch Me If You Can, Maggie - Duegar's D'U B'leve N Magic, and Vinnie - Duegar's De JaVu. The kennel dogs are retired from whatever they did as young dogs ).

MOM says that come this next January, I will get to go bye-bye and see other pups and dogs and some person will look at me and decide if I get a ribbon for being a good boy. SHE says it's fun and I will get to see all kinds of pups not just ones like me but other kinds of pups - I'm not real sure I know what SHE'S talking about but I'll go bye-bye with MOM any time.

MOM also said that when I get to be a big dog, that I will be able to go with big girl dogs and make puppies ( not a clue what THAT means ). SHE also told me that we would be getting another girl-pup as a baby and she can come home and play with me and we can have puppies.

I'm not sure MOM knows what SHE'S talking about - I think I need to go talk to Stylle and Chloe about all this stuff.

MOM said that I can write here and let everyone know what's going on with me and the rest of the dogs. SHE said that I can even put pictures up, too so everyone can see us. That sounds like fun.

This is my big sister Stylle. Isn't she pretty? She likes me now but didn't when I first came to live here - she would bite me whenever I came near. Now, she let's me give her kisses and she even gives me some.

And this is my silly big sister Chloe. She plays with me all the time and sometimes let's me snuggle with her as I fall asleep at night.

She's fun to play with. She knows all kinds of games with sticks, balls and, my favorite, digging holes.

Chloe just had a birthday ( it's TODAY ) and she is 3 years old!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHLOE!!!!!

She even taught me to find the presents the sheep leave in the grass in the backyard that are good to eat. MOM isn't crazy about us eating it but it tastes sooooo goooodd that we do it when SHE isn't looking.

Well, I'm going to have to go for now because I'm getting real sleepy and MOM says that baby pups ( like me ) need naps during the day so I can grow and be a big show dog. I even have dreams of being a show dog ( it's like showing off in front of everyone and you get treats for being the best ).
